ANJUNA

Anjuna , the famed tropical sleepy coastal village in Goa, got cult status on the hippie trail in the 1960’s with the advent of electronica and Goa trance.
A Portuguese settlement in the Konkan coastline of India holds a strong influence of the style of architecture and azulejos tile art which was brought here at the turn of the 16th century. Having moved to Goa in the pandemic and global lockdown,

Anjali the designer made Anjuna her home for the season and opened Verandah’s first store in a 16th Century Portuguese home next to St Michael's church at Mazzal Vaddo. Famed for its black rock beach, music and flea market, Anjuna has less discovered tropical glory that we wanted to show through this collection. In colors of brick and coral juxtaposed against the lush greens and blue azulejos tile work, these signature hand painted prints depict the beauty of the old homes is something tourists to India tend to miss, in search of Goa’s sunny beaches.

Anjuna like a handful of villages is now home to some of the chicest vacation homes in North Goa and has evolved into a beautiful global destination we are proud to call home.
